I don't know about you...but I definitely have to practice positive thoughts. It's as though my default can sometimes go to fear and doubt about myself putting me in a state of being that is so contracting for my creative expression and being. Noticing this about myself and falling into 'the black hole' repeatedly - I decided to amp up my well being practices and so I am sharing with you what has helped me because for me, this WORKS when I find myself in state of conflict or confusion.
Each morning, I wake up early before everyone else in my home.
I find a quiet spot and journal, creating a list of all things good and beginning my day with a very positive energy. Here's the list:
1st - 10 Blessings.
2nd - 3 Things I LOVE about myself.
3rd - 2 Ways I make the world a better place (could be as simple as picking up garbage or recycling).
4th - A Miracle I've experienced at some point in my life.
5th - Dreamy & Delicious Things I want to do. (written with no pressure to achieve, just dreamy & delicious desires).
If I have extra time...
6th - I create a few affirmations/mantras or positive statements to carry with me during the day in keeping this good vibe going.
I've been doing this for over a month now and before I start writing - I draw a face of how I'm feeling. I do this to gauge my mood.
I hope you too can adapt something that makes you feel good or, better! Oh and one last thing - You can always find a TED Talk that is inspiring and insightful...another tool to help you feel good about yourself and your life.
With Lots of Love- Mary :)
